First Nations water bill expected to be tabled as early as today

Ottawa – Legislation could be tabled as early as today for the improvement of water quality in First Nations communities. The Ministry of Indigenous Services has not revealed details of the legislation, but Minister Patty Hajdu says it’s the closest the federal government has been with First Nations in the co-development of law – an assertion some First Nations chiefs dispute.
