McMaster students forced to leave residence over water issues demand rent pause
Unsafe drinking water triggers six-day evacuation to allow for system repairs

Hamilton, Ont. – Students being forced to evacuate a downtown university residence to allow for its unsafe drinking water issues to be resolved are demanding a pause in their rent payments. The students tenants are to leave the McMaster University residence for six days starting Feb. 4 while the building’s water system is being repaired. CUPE 3906, a union at the university, is backing the students’ demand for a pause in rental until the problem is resolved. CHCH report | READ MORE
