New book serves as overview of Canada’s ground water resources

Feb. 19, 2014, Canada – Alfonso Rivera, a prominent
hydrogeologist, has compiled the work of over 40 noted Canadian ground water
scientists to produce a comprehensive assessment of Canada’s ground water
resources. His new book is called Canada's Groundwater Resources.

Rivera is the chief hydrogeologist at Natural Resources
Canada’s Geological Survey of Canada. Rivera has made significant contributions
to ground water sciences, and has led research teams in Canada, Switzerland,
Germany and Mexico.
