Nov. 21, 2017 – Franklin Electric will have on display its MagForce permanent magnet motor and welcome a water-well contractor to discuss its features at the company’s booth during Groundwater Week in December.

The six-inch motor is a high-performance alternative to standard induction motors, Franklin Electric said in a press release. It provides electrical cost savings through an efficiency improvement of 10-12 per cent (as indicated by field trial data) and a typical investment payback of less than one year in long- or continuous-run applications.

It features SandFighter construction and covers the nine traditional pump horsepower ratings from five to 60 horsepower in three distinct motor models.

A booth session called “An Attractive Sell: Permanent Magnet Motors” is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 6, at 2:30 p.m. A veteran driller will talk about their recent personal experience and success using the new motor in a field trial.
