Safety advisor to run workshops at NGWA expo

velletriOctober 26, 2011, Westerville, OH – Richard C. Velletri will make his industry safe practice adviser debut at this year's National Ground Water Association (NGWA) Ground Water Expo and annual meeting.

Velletri, a certified safety professional and senior loss control consultant from The Hartford, holds degrees in construction management and occupational safety and health. He has more than 30 years experience in the insurance industry, specializing in construction and workers' compensation. Velletri will present two workshops at the expo.

The effective fleet management workshop will detail the steps that can be taken to minimize losses regarding over-the-road business vehicles, as well as the role proper orientation and training of employees plays in the process.

The workshop on how ground water contractors can avoid the most common industry losses will discuss concrete ways to minimize injuries and property losses prevalent in the industry due to slips, trips, and falls; materials handling; and electrocution.

In addition to these debut presentations, Velletri will be working with the NGWA safety subcommittee as a consultant on future industry safe-practice initiatives.

The Ground Water Expo will run Nov. 29 to Dec. 2 in Las Vegas.
