Jan. 29, 2018, Mississauga, Ont. – The European DecarbHeat Initiative and ground source heat pump research are among topics at the Ontario Geothermal Association’s upcoming annual conference, set for Feb 27-28 in Toronto.

The conference is designed as a gathering place for industry executives, advisors, investors, policy makers, research analysts, media and stakeholders in the geo-exchange sector and associated sectors.

Featured will be three keynote speakers: Chris Ballard, Ontario’s minister of environment and climate change; Glen Murray, the province’s former minister of environment and climate change; and Jim Sanders, president of Enbridge Gas Distribution.

“We expect this year’s conference to draw a greater number of delegates due to the Ontario Government’s commitment to combatting climate change through investments in low carbon heating and cooling technologies in the form of unprecedented industry rebates,” said OGA president Jim Bolger.

Conference topics include the following:
·      European Heat Pump Association (EHPA) DecarbHeat Initiative
·      Public Relations and Edelman’s Trust Barometer: navigating through societal and economic concerns and building credibility in today’s climate
·      CanmetEnergy and NRCan’s scientific research studies on ground source heat pump technologies

The conference will take place Feb 27-28 at the Westin Toronto Airport Hotel in Toronto.

Early-bird ticket sales will run from Jan. 2531, 2018. For more information, visit the OGA website or contact conference organizer Kendy Sandy. ksandy@hrai.ca
