Quadra Island, B.C. – Most residents of the island community depend on groundwater for their water needs, but, in the face of British Columbia’s growing drought, water is becoming more scarce. Shallow wells running dry during periods of elongated heat aren’t uncommon, but drought’s effect on deep-drilled wells leaves questions unanswered.
