Saudi-owned farm in Arizona loses its lease after violating groundwater-taking terms

Washington – Arizona’s governor says a Saudi-owned farm in the state has violated the terms of its lease and has continuously pumped out untold amounts of groundwater. Gov. Katie Hobbs says the violation of the farm’s lease is unacceptable, adding the lease has been terminated. The farm grows alfalfa that is used to feed livestock in the Gulf kingdom.
