MOE says methane presence in water well a coincidence, but affected well owner begs to differ

Dresden, Ont. – The timing of test drilling at a dormant landfill site and the sudden presence of methane gas at a neighbour’s water well is coincidental, according to the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks. But affected neighbour Dave Wilson says he doesn’t believe in coincidences, adding there has never been a problem with his well since the house was built 53 years ago until the test drilling began.
