Leading Canadian geoscientist to present keynote address at BCGWA convention

Dr. Catherine Hickson is a leader in geothermal field

British Columbia – The British Columbia Ground Water Association has announced Dr. Catherine Hickson as the keynote speaker for the association’s annual convention in April.

She will speak April 19 at the Kamloops event.

Dr. Hickson was one of the first to explore the Wells Gray Park Cave and is a leader in the geothermal field. In 2023 she was bestowed with Geoscience Canada’s Career Achievement award, one of the highest honours a geoscientist in Canada can attain. She continues to be involved with Wells Gray Provincial Park and Thompson Rivers University.
