Kingston, Ont. – After 14 years, a boil-water advisory at the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory west of Kingston has been lifted for most of the First Nation community following expanded connections made to a new water treatment plant. Residents had previously been required to haul water to their homes during the past 14 years. Not all of the homes in the community have access to safe drinking water. About 25 per cent of the people in the area are still waiting for the same access. CBC News report | READ MORE
