Potential for water well testing lab closures concerns another Ontario municipality

Belleville, Ont. – Belleville council has joined the Township of Asphodel-Norwood in its concern over the possible closure of six of 10 regional Public Health Ontario laboratories. The potential loss of the labs is expected to negatively impact private well owners’ ability to test their water for contamination. If passed, the closures will impact about 85 laboratory personnel.
