Program aims to help Indigenous adults gain water treatment on-the-job experience

A new training internship program for water treatment plant operators has been created as a partnership between Mamaweswen, the North Shore Tribal Council (NSTC), and the Water First charity. The program aims to support young Indigenous adults receive drinking water treatment and environmental water science training. The internship program is to begin this summer and will allow candidates to receive 1,800 hours of on-the-job experience at water treatment plants. The Sudbury Star report | READ MORE
