B.C. river provides clean drinking water
November 10, 2022 By Ground Water Canada
Guelph, Ont. – A Wet’suwet’en solidarity fundraiser was held earlier this week to help protect Wet’suwet’en lands in northern British Columbia from drilling beneath the Wedzin Kwa (Morice River), site of the Coastal GasLink pipeline project. Organizers say the river provides clean drinking water to nearby villages and is a key spawning area for salmon. The solidarity group is also pressuring the Royal Bank of Canada to defund the pipeline project. Guelph Mercury Tribune report | READ MORE
