Upgrades earmarked for Nova Scotia municipality’s water, wastewater infrastructure
Feds, province announce joint project funding of $2.6 million

Queens Municipality, N.S. – The federal and Nova Scotia governments are jointly funding water and wastewater infrastructure upgrades for the region at a cost of $2.6 million. The project is expected to improve the reliability and capacity of the region’s drinking water system as well as the capacity to treat and manage wastewater and storm water in future years. The money will be used to upgrade and replace water, sanitary, and storm sewer lines and decommission the existing combined sewer outfall in the Waterloo East sewershed boundary.
