Water conservation measures to begin earlier this year than usual in Vancouver
Snowpack is 60 per cent below its normal level

Vancouver – The city’s snowpack is sitting at 60 per cent below normal, driving speculation that the metropolitan area could be facing another summer of drought. The concern still exists despite recent snowfalls in late February and early March. Metro Vancouver’s water committee chairman says it’s still too early to determine what present conditions will have on the city’s water supply, but added conservation measures will begin earlier than usual this year.
