Zhiibaahaasing First Nation water operator earns honour from federal government

Silver Water, Ont. – The federal government has honoured a Zhiibaahaasing First Nation water operator for his part in maintaining the continuity of clean drinking water in his community. Jonathan Riberdy has received the 2021 National First Nations Water Leadership Award for his work in upholding high drinking water standards and for training young Indigenous water operators across Ontario.
