Amount of rainfall in Europe can’t keep up with depleting groundwater levels
One-third of the continent facing drought crisis

Europe – Climate change and rising temperatures have created a major water crisis in Europe with rain not keeping up with the amount of groundwater lost. More than a third of the continent is facing drought, and about 10 per cent is experiencing severe drought. Water restrictions are currently in place in France and Spain.
