Austin, Texas – University of Texas at Austin researchers have developed an inexpensive and portable method of water filtration that collects dirty water and injects it into a hydrogel filter that removes almost all tiny particles. The device allows river and stream water to be easily decontaminated and be fit for drinking. The device is made from inexpensive and sustainable materials that are readily available.
