Ottawa – Feedback has been mixed following the federal government’s proposed new bill to establish First Nations drinking water standards. Bill c-61, introduced Monday, is intended to create minimum drinking water standards in First Nations communities, but Chief Chris Moonias of Neskantaga First Nation says he feels slighted that he wasn’t given the opportunity to review the bill before it was tabled.
