First Nations people must have voice to help resolve drinking water advisories: official

Saskatchewan still has 20 short-term and four long-term water advisories in place

Saskatchewan – While Canada observes the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Saturday, it’s still apparent that many Canadian First Nations communities still lack access to safe drinking water. In Saskatchewan, about 20 short-term drinking water advisories still exist among First Nations communities while four other communities are dealing with long-term advisories. The executive director of the Safe Drinking Water Foundation (SDWF) in Saskatoon says First Nations people in Saskatchewan must have a voice in resolving drinking water advisories.
