First Nations stewards testing water to learn more about impact of drought
Most Quadra Island residents rely on wells fed by rain, surface water

Vancouver Island – Environmental stewards from the We Wai Kai First Nation are monitoring wetlands, watersheds and streams on Quadra Island to learn more about the impact of drought in their traditional territories. Drought was experienced on the island for a third straight year, but it reach Level 5 status this year.
