Simpler, more cost-efficient testing for PFAS developed by researchers
New polymer-based testing developed
October 30, 2023 By Ground Water Canada
A polymer-based test has been developed to better detect traces amounts of PFAS in water. Researchers have introduced a simple method of fluorescence sensor for testing PFAS, or forever chemicals, in water samples. The traditional method for detecting trace amounts of PFAS involves chromatography and mass spectrometry. The technique, however, is considered to be time-consuming and expensive, and requires complex equipment and experienced testers. Technology Networks report | READ MORE
