Former Court of Justice lawyer ramps up call for public inquiry into Iqaluit water crisis
'For the sake of transparency'

Iqaluit, Nunavut – The call for a public inquiry into the city’s water crisis is beginning to intensify with a former justice of the peace with the Nunavut Court of Justice joining territory MP Lori Idlout in requesting one. Joseph Murdoch-Flowers stated on Twitter: “For the sake of transparency, accountability, and to regain the highest degree of public confidence in the territorial and municipal governments, the Government of Nunavut should call a public inquiry into the Iqaluit water crisis.” Iqaluit is currently dealing with a second water emergency as the smell of fuel is being detected in its water supply.
