Alberta – A geothermal test site – the first in Canada – is being created in the province. The project is expected to advance innovations in drilling, job creation and reductions in emissions. Alberta is said to have ample pockets of sub-surface heat. The provincial government is pouring $750,000 into a feasibility study led by Calgary-based Eavor Technologies.
