Edmonton – Rainbow Lake, situated in Alberta’s northwest, is to become the first community in Canada to be powered by geothermal energy. The town has partnered with E2E Energy Solutions for the project which takes an existing aquifer, taking the fluid deeper, heating it deeper and producing it at the surface.
