Nunavut – Researchers are exploring how geothermal energy could reduce the territory’s reliance on diesel fuel for its energy needs. The research team, led by a University of Alberta professor, has been working out of Cambridge Bay and Resolute Bay to how using heat generated by rock layers and water below the earth’s surface can adequately generate power and electricity.
