Weyburn’s UV filtration system helps to ensure water is nearly 100% bacteria, virus-free

Weyburn, Sask. – A Water Security Agency inspection is to take place this week at the city’s water treatment plant, but its plant superintendent says the safety rating of the water is 99.9999 per cent. He says its high safety rating is due in large part to its UV filtration which deactivates any bacteria. He adds its safety level ensures water is bacteria and virus-free.
