Alberta prepared to declare state of emergency if next stage of water response plan reached
Declaration could lead to water licence suspensions

Calgary – The Alberta government is paying close attention to factors that could determine if a state of emergency is to be declared in response to the province’s drought. Such a declaration could lead to the suspension of water licences. Alberta is currently at Stage 4 of its water management response plan.
