Uruguay – Years of drought and high temperatures have created a water crisis in this South American country. Residents have been drinking salty tap water while well drilling continues. The situation has become so bad that a major reservoir in the capital city of Montevideo – that normally provides water to about a million people – has turned into a muddy field.
