University supports water authority aiming to achieve clean water for Indigenous communities

Atlantic First Nation Water Authority is first of its kind

Halifax – A first-of-its-kind Indigenous water utility in Atlantic Canada is striving to ensure there is clean drinking water and clean wastewater for First Nations communities. The Atlantic First Nation Water Authority is partnering with Dalhousie University’s Centre for Water Resources Studies and Mitacs, an organization that helps solve business challenges with research solutions from academic institutions, to achieve the authority’s goal.
