New York and Toronto – UNICEF says about 190 million children living in 10 African countries face a high risk of health setbacks from inadequate water, sanitation and hygiene. Storms, floods and drought are contributing to water contamination, hunger and disease, and must urgently be addressed, the agency noted at the recent United Nations water conference.
