Water treatment plant blaze leads to evacuation of some residents from First Nation community
Fire leaves residents with no access to running water or bathroom usage

Thunder Bay, Ont. – Hundreds of residents from the Eabametoong First Nation near here have been evacuated after a fifth day without access to running water. The community’s water treatment plant caught fire last week, leading to a declared state of emergency. The blaze shut down access to drinking water and for bathing purposes.
