3M to begin making multi-billion-dollar payments in PFAS drinking water settlement
Payments to be made through 2036

Payments of up to $12.5 billion will be made by chemical manufacturer 3M to several U.S. public drinking water systems over the next 12 years due to the contamination of water from PFAS, or forever chemicals.
