Iqaluit, Nunavut – Parts of the city have been placed on a boil-water advisory today for precautionary reasons while water is shut down to allow for water infrastructure work to take place.

A drop in water pressure will result from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. An advisory is automatically issued under such circumstances.

Water is to be brought to a boil for a full minute before consumption and for such purposes as teeth brushing, cooking and making baby formula.
