Boil-water advisory issued for parts of Iqaluit while infrastructure work is conducted
Advisory expected to be in place only for today

Iqaluit, Nunavut – Parts of the city have been placed on a boil-water advisory today for precautionary reasons while water is shut down to allow for water infrastructure work to take place.
A drop in water pressure will result from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. An advisory is automatically issued under such circumstances.
Water is to be brought to a boil for a full minute before consumption and for such purposes as teeth brushing, cooking and making baby formula.

The interruption in water services is slated for the city’s Upper Plateau and Lower Plateau areas.
