London-area First Nation community hopeful for good news regarding access to clean drinking water
Clean water available only 18 km away

London, Ont. – Indigenous Services Minister Patty Hajdu is expected today to address the possibility of a federally funded pipeline that would provide clean drinking water to the Oneida Nation of the Thames. One local resident, scheduled to speak on radio about the community’s current poor water quality, says the water currently coming in has caused her health issues and is upset a clean water supply pipeline exists a mere 18 kilometres away.
