Military personnel seek compensation for exposure to harmful agent in groundwater

Montreal – Thousands of military personnel and their families have filed for compensation for exposure to trichloroethylene in the water at Canadian Forces Base Valcartier. The degreasing agent known for causing cancer and genetic mutations had contaminated groundwater at the base for several years.
