Deadline to seek compensation for tainted water supply at Canadian military base fast approaching

Federal opposition parties are urging Ottawa not to block an extension application that would allow military families stationed at CFB Valcartier in Quebec to seek compensation for years-long tainted water. The deadline to seek compensation is Jan. 15. A degreasing agent called trichloroethylene (TCE) leached into the local water table for decades.
