MOE pondering possible prosecution against Algoma Steel following oil spill in river
More than 1,000 litres of lubricant spilled

Sudbury – The Ontario Ministry of the Environment is pondering the possibility of prosecution against Algoma Steel following an oil spill on the St. Marys River earlier in June. Cleanup of the more than 1,000 litres of spill lubricant has concluded, but Echo Bay’s water intake at Lake George is still shut down while water continues to be hauled to the community from Bruce Mines and Sault Ste.
