Groundwater licensing issues continue in B.C., compounded by season’s drought
Licensing requirements were introduced seven years ago, but it hasn't been a smooth ride

British Columbia – British Columbians are still reeling from the fallout from the province’s groundwater licensing requirements that were introduced seven years ago. The requirement under the B.C. Water Sustainability Act (WSA) meant groundwater users had to apply for a licence and pay for such water usage as irrigation and commercial and industrial use.
