Sachs Harbour, NWT issues do-not-consume advisory as water has fuel smell, oily sheen

Sachs Harbour, NWT – The smell of fuel and an oily sheen in some of the water delivered since March 21 to homes in the community has prompted a do-not-consume advisory, even if the water is boiled. The advisory was made by the territory’s chief environmental health officer, who says the advisory is in place until further notice.
